I think they did it because of the overall acoustic isolation inherent in the 5 series platform. Plus your point is part of it as well. It made me feel like opting for the upgraded Bowers and Wilkins audio system was also an exhaust upgrade.

One of the cooler EVs but personally not ready to make that jump to EV yet...

550 mile range on my '23 X5 40i on the highway. Until EV's can match that range and charge in 5 minutes it's a no go for me.

Not sure how I feel about a "track" EV.
For a daily driver 100% EV convert, but for fun driving... I still need an ICE with a manual. |

KIA's and Hyundai's are often styled very nicely and perform well on paper, but are almost always very under engineered and lacking in depth. I would not even buy a cheap car from them, let alone a very pricey EV with a lot of new and unproven technology.

My Stinger is a clone of a BMW 4-series. I owned both. There is nothing BMW is doing that they can't match. Well, anyone can beat BMW steering...but apart from that.

Virtually all new cars are coming with fake-sound. This isn't some special 5-series thing. This has been happening for years.
