2011 bmw 550i
Trying to replace downpipes I believe they are a 2 bolt flange connection. It has a bracket at the bottom of the stock down pipe that is connected to what seems the starter? How do I get this off?

I think I used a set of flex ratchet box wrenches and also a 3/8” or 1/2” adjustable head ratchet drive and short sockets. It wasn’t too bad from I remember, it was tight in there but not bad. Use some PB blaster on the bolt/nut too. Good luck!!

I honestly don’t remember because it’s been so long but I want to say there was a stupid bracket I had to remove. None of the guides online show removing it or it even being there, sorry I’m not much more help. Do you have a pic, maybe that jogs my or someone elses memory?
