Anyone else have calling issues with their f10? I have a ‘11 535i, and every since I upgraded my iPhone 11 Pro to 13.2, I get constant crackle and static during Bluetooth calls, however streaming music is perfectly clear. Trying to figure out if it’s an issue with my phone or with the car

Very odd, but I've had the opposite - I get crackling while music is playing but it only happens maybe once every 2 weeks. During calls I've never had the issue.

Curious to know if others have this issue.

Seems the the new iOS 13.3 beta fixes the crackle phone call issue, so far the crackle is minimal, almost none existent. Still not crystal clear but much better and I can now have a conversation. Other person on the phone confirms the static is no longer there. Hopefully this is sign that it will be fully resolved in the GM version

iOS 13.2 is (apparently) live now. It shows as an update for my XR.

Yes, same here! Bluetooth audio is fine, but the calls have distortion. I thought it was my combibox going bad, but guess it's the phone. I have iPhone Pro Max.

Confirmed 13.3 beta 1 fixes the issue. I just installed 13.2.2 on my 11 pro, haven’t had a chance to test yet in my car. Will test tomorrow and provide feedback

13.2.2, still crackling/static badly. Upgraded to 13.3 beta 2, confirmed it’s resolved in beta 2 also. I believe this might be isolated to iPhone 11 pro series, as my sons iPhone XR has no issues nor iPhone X.

Any luck resolving this? Having similar issues. Dealer said they'd need to take 2 hours with the car to even begin to investigate

I think everyone has figured out that it's a problem with iOS 13.2. Next iOS update fixes it.

Bad news, installed 13.3 beta 3 and the crackle is back, not as bad as 13.2.x but it’s very noticeable. So annoying, hopefully next beta fixes this issue again.

Hey guys, I’m STILL having this “Crackling” problem, AND we are on iOS 13.6, so there must be another source to the problem. I have an iPhone X, and a friend of mine has the iPhone 8 Plus, and both phones experience bad crackling when connected via Bluetooth. I was always so proud of how amazing and clear the Bluetooth worked in my F10, people would compliment on how it sounded like I was in a quite conference room, now it sounds like I’m in a giant bag of Pop Rocks.

There must be another cause to the problem, any ideas fellas? Anyone else having the same issue and don’t think it’s the iOS update?

You could try updating the Bluetooth firmware on the radio. If that doesn’t work, try an older version.

I never had an issue with my iPhone 11 Pro in my car, but iOS 13 (any version) was causing horrible distortion and crackling in my wife's MB. I installed iOS 14 Beta and the noise is completely gone. Give that a go and hopefully that fixes your issue.

I had the opposite. Been on the iOS 14 beta’s, and so far all the betas has caused major crackle. Hopefully this gets resolves in the next beta (tues). So far the issue is fully back and I’m unable to use my phone for calls again.

So odd, since Bluetooth calls on my wife’s 2018 Honda Odyssey is crystal clear.

Hmmm...interesting. My girlfriend mentions when I call her from my 535, she hears a massive echo of her own voice plus crackling. My 3 series does not have this. I tried doing the software update on the car's multimedia unit but that didn't seem to do anything. I just updated to IOS 13.6, but haven't had a chance to try it out yet. Glad to see I am not the only one having issues with voice calls. As others have stated, the streaming music, etc. does not have problems. Just the calls.

Quick update, all crackle issues was resolved when I updated to iOS 14.4 while back.
