I can't begin to describe how jealous I am of you guys having the estate option in Europe. If I ever make it back to live there, that's gonna be my 1st requirement in a new car.

Have you seen any version of F10/F11 that has had rear active seat ventilation? It would be option code 454..while available in the F07 GT and the F01 7, but not the F11?

I have perforated rear seats, and would like to install this capability maybe using parts from the F07...starting with the controller as shown below:

This wagon looks incredible. If only these were available in the states.

Those covers with the lighting is cool. Never knew these were even available. Would have gotten some for sure if I still had my F10.

Thanks for those words. I do love the estate too, I cant understand why BMW won't offer it in the US.

I agree. The F1x, especially in LCI with LED lights looks so modern.

No, seat ventilation rear was not an option for F1x (except of the F07, wich is basically an 7-series), but it should not be any problem to retrofit if you have the perforated leather rear. You have to replace the foam (or cut) and make some wires, then it should work.

Thanks! No, the LCI-screens have the mount over the upper seat cover, so you don't need to replace it. Just cut in the leather and foam (or replace it, but that's expensive) and nail the bracket to the seat frame. I can take some more pictures to the week when I will finish the project.

Not yet. I received some parts I missed until today, so will continue the RSE to the weekend. I will also retrofit BMW Individual illuminated door sills as well.

Please post pictures of the illuminated door sills....I've been looking for these for 6 years....(of course I could buy new....but hoping someone will offer up a set of used ones in decent shape one of these days...)

I'd prefer the illuminated door sills over individual wood trim....

Update!

Regards to my other post, I had issues about the auto dim mirrors. The sensitivity was too bad on the OEM mirror, and what I've read, its normal for F1x LCI. I decided to try G2x frameless mirror, and it worked perfect. It fixed my problem with the low sensitivity.







And im almost finished with the wiring of the RSE, TV module and the illuminated BMW Individual door sills.

I can send the part number for the mirror, but the frequency may be different than what you need? We use 434mHz in Europe.

Yes, I love them. Its for F10 and F11. You have to make wiring harness if your car doesn't have illuminated door sills already.

Finished result of the RSE unit.





I was also tired of the blue looking unoriginal LED door lights, so I decided to try the F3x LCI door lights. The F1x uses 2-pin socket housing/connector and the F3x uses 4-pin socket housing/connector. Just swap, and voila!



One light came in this airy box. :P









Crappy phone picture. The light are white, not yellow or blue like cheap LED bulbs from eBay.

I am replacing my custom harness with this one when I do my CA retrofit.
