Fixing the trunk in my BMW f10 525d
Hi guys, im new here so dont mind if i got something wrong.
I have a problem with my trunk opening way too fast, was researching here and on google about it, got to the conclusion that i have to replace my trunk springs. I replaced both left and right, but the trunk problem remains. Any tips what else could be the problem? Help is much appreciated. |

Did you buy the springs and shock absorber together (two pairs)? If so, put in those new parts and everything will be ok. In the product image, the spring and shock absorber come together, ready to be replaced

2014 BMW F10 trunk not closing
I have seen many threads on the springs, shock absorbers, etc. But I had also seen one regarding low fluid in hydraulic pump for the trunk and it being behind the panels in the trunk on the righthand side near the wheel well. Does anyone have experience on this?
I see many folks say they do an open/close several times and it corrects the problem. Mine, in particular, closes and then immediately opens again. So trying to determine if this claim of low fluid may be the issue. Thanks! |
