Doesn't show itll fit a F10? I'm sure some customizing would work. Whose gonna fork $600 for this?

Today I saw Kies video and looks nice. I check the CSF website too but it doesn't fit our cars. I suppose it shouldn't be too difficult to retrofit but someone will need to contact CSF or bite the bullet and try.

I would want to see test results that this cooler lowers oil temps by itself vs the OE cooler. The oil cooler thermostat has more influence over the oil temperature than the cooler itself.

Exactly. I could only see this mod worth it for hard core track cars. I did the BMS oil cooler plug thingy-ma-bob (EDIT: per my sig it's called 'high flow sport oil cooler value') and I run really cool. I'd have to beat the crap out of my car on a really hot day to get oil temps to a point where I'd want to spend 600 bucks.

Is that really working bro? And do you just insert it or how do you install it? Pictures would be awesome if you have any IC doesn't bring temperatures down?

yes, my oil temps are lower because what it does is allow the oil to ALWAYS flow to the cooler. In a stock set up, it waits til oil hits a particular temp before your oil flows to the cooler.

So you basically prevent heat soak since it's always cooling. There were some threads around this... you don't need to buy it, you can actually just FLIP the stock one and it does the same thing!

One of the downsides is making your car take a lot longer to warm up right?

Yes it does. But if you research viscosity vs temp, the oil reaches optimal viscosity at a very low temp. For this reason I am not worried about hitting higher oil temps. Point is, I think you are already at a 'safe' viscosity before you are at what most people consider optimal oil temps. Just my 2 cents.
