Big Congrats!!! I remember test driving this car back then with the 5-speed manual and it drove beautifully, very engaging, good road feel, the best driver's car of all the IS generations. I ended up buying the E46 but the IS 300 was the runner up. It was close.

They are both near and dear to me, as I grew up when these were hot off the press.

This is awesome. I tried finding one as a fun daily, but no luck. How much did you end up buying it for? These things go for about 8-10k just because they're manual 😑

$6k with 241k mi. Took my buddy with me to check it out and make a call on if I should buy it or not since he's got an identical one just different color. Runs like it has 80k mi.

Sort of weird jacking this thread after a year, but I hope you're enjoying the car.

I'm moving from an 03 MSM 5MT with an LSD to a 6MT 340i within the month, I'm really excited. I got the IS with 173k miles for $6k and selling with 180k after 3 years. I will miss the steering and handling of the IS lots. I feel like that's the best part about it and unfortunately as soon as I get the 340 I'm putting it up for sale. I'm ready for some B58 action though...
