NBT EVO retrofit

Recently did an NBT EVO retrofit from Bimmer Tech. I have a 13 550i with NBT. Very satisfied how it turned out. Everything works well with the specs of my car. Carplay was a plus for me even at full screen. Shot out to Nelson@BimmerTech

Was it mostly just the emulator/NBT EVO head unit and programming? or wiring changes needed to be made?

I would guess it was a damn sight more then that, 2k + parts maybe.

Interested in seeing how much you paid...i looked into this a few months back i think it was 3500 at that point...for all the hardware/coding/install etc...

imho not having car play is NOT A $3500 problem...there's even a car play add on which you can get for 500ish i believe....even that i couldn't bring myself to spend...

I do like the updated SW look!

NBT headunit, precoding to vin, atm. Then final coding session. No emulator.

I was happy with the original than found a G30 touch screen for sale since I wanted a touch screen. Nothing fishy about that. Still same product from Bimmer Tech. I never bought a screen from them, since i used my original screen.

Dont need to defend myself here. Bottomline is i went thru Bimmer Tech for an NBT Evo retrofit, happy with the results. I was in a loaner G30 that had a nice touch screen, wanted to include that with the retrofit. Saw online it was possible to make it work. Found screen on ebay and had Bimmer Tech code to the NBT Evo. Happy customer.

You say i didnt reply to your pm, well i did but said your in box was full!

If you want to talk about price, well i've known nelson from bimmer tech even back in the e60 days. So i am not going to disclose how much i paid. The screen thou, i paid $420 shipped from Ebay.

You guys are tough...

It's nice that you got a discount but I feel it isn't fair to advertise for someone

So you brag about not paying what WE would have to pay because you got the "family & friends" discount? That's kind of a ninner, ninner, ninner attitude. Were ANY of us to buy this we WOULD be paying ~$2700!
