6WB Cluster Question

Bought a "Virgin" 6WB cluster and it was coded to my VIN prior to being shipped to me. I installed it and the cluster worked except it shows the incorrect miles around 7k. Not sure what's wrong with it so I installed my original cluster back and the correct mileage showed beck up which is about 62k. (Pics attached) Can any coders or folks with m knowable about this tell me why the mileage is incorrect and if this is easily correctable with coding

Wasn't virgnized properly.

Can it be addressed with coding? There are no error lights of any kind and that's the only thing that is wrong. This unit was pre-coded to my VIN so I'm unsure if I just start driving that the mileage will update.

I may reinstall and drive with it for a few days allowing the car to reset a few times before i give up on it. Seems like it works except for the miles. Plus I don't know what happens if a cluster isn't virgnized or coded because it does seem useable otherwise

***Update****

Had the place remote into the car today to see what's going on. The cluster is coded to my car which is probably why their is no red dot and what they told me which I believe. They've seen this once before and believe there is an emulator on my car somewhere. I did inherit the car which was purchased used so it's not out of the question but I just have to locate the emulator and remove in order to make this work. I didn't see anything behind the cluster and was told they are mostly installed by the CAS. Does this make sense to anyone?

So I'm likely going to return the 6WB cluster. It feels like it's setup correctly because there is no red dot but we still can't get the mileage to match my car. I had the seller remote into my car and they told me the CAS is reading 0km which is believed to be the cause of the cluster reading a lower mileage than what the car has.

I pulled the car apart and looked for devices (an emulator) that would be in the places that they said but I didn't find anything. What do you think Bimmerpost?

Scan the car with ISTA for codes. A lot of times, emulators can introduce noise into the can bus system and throw codes. If you spot anything funky, you'll at least know there's 100% an emulator somewhere. That said, most emulators I know of are for the NBT Evo retrofits and SLI retrofits. The SLI emulator is usually attached directly to the wiring harness that feed the cluster.

Thank you for this and that's what I thought. I just think but can't confirm that the 6WB cluster was virginied wrong. Unfortunately I don't have ISTA to confirm but I did install a 6WB cluster in my last car and didn't have these types of problems.
