Thanks for posting...I am very glad I chose the Oyster headliner to go with my oyster/black dakota leather interior, the anthracite headliner looks like a dark cloud, too dark and your eye is just drawn to it too much IMO.

I think that the Oyster/Black with the Oyster headliner looks clumsy with the black lower B Pillar that transitions to Oyster upper B Pillar. I believe that the anthracite headliner would look best with Oyster/Black interior.
I have the anthracite headliner on my E60 and I like it a lot. The darkness of it is not problematic.

Just so everyone understands what Pharding is talking about, the B-Pillar is Oyster:
and the section below the B-Pillar is black: Not sure I agree that it looks clumsy, but that is obviously a matter of personal opinion. |

Oyster/black is a great looking combination but a word of warning, it gets extremely grubby very quickly and requires cleaning with an old toothbrush to get into the grain of the leather.
If you like to wear jeans, have kids or pets then steer clear. Personally I think this exterior colour will still look stunning with cinnamon brown. Last edited by footie; 04-28-2010 at 09:17 AM.. |

The Anthracite Headliner is a must with Oyster/Black. I had it with Natural Brown on the E60 and it was awesome.

I agree - which is why on my GT I opted for the cinnamon brown - which I wish came with an anthracite/black headliner.
Ironically enough, most of the inital production run of GT's, at least in the South Florida region where delivered to the local dealerships with either black or black sapphire cars with Oyster Nappa or Oyster Dakota leather. I don't think the dealers spec'd the cars this way, simply a factor of how the factory shipped the cars. I wonder if it will be the same case for the F10 sedans
