Bang and Oulfsen Subs, Center Speaker, Speakers

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds

I have most of the components for a Bang And Oulfsen stereo retrofit for a 2011-2013 F10 stereo system. Asking $1350 for everything or have parts priced individually below.

If doing a retrofit and need assistance getting the wiring done, I have documented what I did to get this installed. 2 wires up front to ECUs, then swap out AMP power wire from Rear fuse box over to direct connect to Battery. VO code car for new amp and then VIN code amp to car Bimmertech can VIN code for 100.00.

The only thing missing is the rear Speakers (these are actually on ebay right now including rear sunscreen)

One of THE BEST RETROFITS I ever did on my car! The Sound is AMAZING as you are adding 6 Tweeters so an existing HK setup for more controlled sound by amp. Then the Front Tweeters and center Speaker light up at night. VERY COOL to look at!

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Rear-Back-W...8ba6%7Ciid%3A1

I have done the retrofit on my car

Fairly easy retrofit once you know what to do. New set of Tweeter wires to run to the rear, 4 doors and then the front doors. There is a red and brown wire that run into 2 ECUS in the front dash Then add the center pop up speaker. This is based if you have Harmon Kardon already in car.

Run extra Microphone wire to drivers side front roof.

Then you VO code the amp to car, have the VIN coded to the amp (Bimmertech will do this for 100 dollars) and POOF, B and O in the car!

If someone wants to buy pieces of this set, I can break them up as Follows:

$1350.00 for everything

Priced out individually:
Center Front Pop Up Mid/Tweeter -$450
B and O Subwoofers: -$550
Front Door Tweeters and Housings -$300
Mids and Tweeters -$450
Door B and O covers ...SOLD, price lowered to reflect..

To put into perspective, the TOTAL of these parts new would $6000 Bang and Oulfsen equipment is not cheap

Individually New:
Subs - 65139224878 $821 each x 2 = $1642 total
Center speaker - 65139266111 $1407
Door Tweeters and Covers Front Left Cover = 51417337775=$441, + Tweeter 65139224867=$143, Total $574
Door Tweeter And Covers Front Right Cover = 51417337776=$441, + Tweeter 65139224867=$143, Total $574
Mids 65139224870 - $204 each x 4 =$816
Tweeters 65139224867 $143 each x 4 =$572

$6000 Total for parts

Those are pick up prices. If shipped, it will be at cost to seller

Should be interchangeable. What stereo system do you have in car now? Harmon Kardon or base?

Should all be 4 Ohms. You can pull any one of your speakers and it will have the Ohm rating on back

Brief description of two systems
HiFi BMW Upgrade

Audio option: S676A / S674A*

The BMW HiFi sound system is a noticeable upgrade with tweeters (usually 2) and a 6-channel amplifier onboard. Still, the graphic equalizer option is missing and leaves the listener with the same options as the previous sound system — bass/treble, front/back, and left/right.

Higher series vehicles with the HiFi option will also include an additional midrange speaker for the center-channel dash.

With this system, you’ll get more volume thanks to the amplifier, and also a cleaner audio signal coming into it as a result of a higher quality head unit. This amplifier can be easily swapped for BimmerTech's Premium Audio System for a quick and powerful audio upgrade. In addition to the replacement amplifier's improved performance, the 64-bit DSP with 30-band graphic EQ gives far more flexibility than the limited power of the stripped back factory equalizer.

Speakers for this audio option are considerably better than for the base (stereo) option. Nonetheless, a lot of listeners are dissatisfied with the sound quality and seek aftermarket upgrades

Bang & Olufsen BMW Upgrade

Audio option: S6F2A

Bang & Olufsen offer a premium audio system for certain high-end BMW models, namely the 5, 6 and 7 series, as well as the X5 and X6 (and their corresponding M equivalents). It features improved amplification, speakers, and a few other cool features.

With 16 channels and 1200W of total output power, the B&O amplifier certainly packs a punch.

Speakers are located in the same way as in the top Hi-Fi system, also divided into 2 subwoofers, 7 mid-ranges, and 7 tweeters. To add to its premium appearance, the side tweeters are illuminated, and the center channel speaker extends out from the dashboard.

Hello,

You mentioned that the rear tweeters are now included. So, can you please confirm how many speakers you have currently. Or, it would be great if you could take pictures of EVERYTHING.

I'm really interested in the whole setup.

Thanks

P.S.: I'm running the HK system in my car now.

Correct, only thing missing are the rear Mids and rear mid/tweeter covers. That is actually for sale on ebay with rear deck and rear sunshade. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Rear-Back-W...97.m4902.l9144

With the HK system already (which is what I used to have as well), you simply add the Tweeter and LED harness to car, add tweeter wires to rear deck, rear doors, front doors, and then run the harness up to the center speaker. You add one red and one brown wire to ECUs by passenger side footwell, then you will remove the AMP power wire from rear fuse box and add the AMP to Battery wire.

VO Code the AMP to car and have the AMP coded with your current VIN. there is alot of disassembly, but the actual install is not that bad. LEDs in center speaker and in front tweeters is powered by B and O amp

I have been thinking about doing this for months. I have the base system so I don’t have speakers in my rear doors. I guess installation would be even more work plus I have the brown- Moca Nappa Leather interior and cannot find rear door panels with speakers in that color.

Are these front door tweeters plug and plug with HK system? I only remember there being a blue connection on the HK.

Are you talking about the door panels? If so, there is no way to change out covers without door panel removal. Then you have to drill out plastic retainers and finally drilll the studs and attach new speaker covers with small screws.

Again, requires removal of door panel. Check out www.newtis.info and it will show directions.
