IAT has bad reading

In the MHD app I'm getting rather unresponsive and illogical readings. For example I'll start the car and the IAT will be 78 when it's 50 degrees outside, and it'll only move from 72 to 82 degrees... even on hard pulls. It's like the sensor is going out but I was wondering if anyone else has dealt with this.

This happened right after a flash, i'm doing to re-flash and see if it clears but wanted to ask. I also pulled the TMAP on the CP and MAF and gave them a clean. Do I need to clean the TMAP on the manifold as well? I'm not exactly 100% sure where this signal is coming from.

I am on the Wagner knock off intercooler and I know these readings are not accurate as I always monitored this before. Temps do pull down in my set up, especially with how cool it is outside right now. No reason the IAT would read 20 degrees over ambient temps on a cold start... Hmmm

It does about 20 degrees over ambient for me as well during idle. Maybe because engine hot air is circulating via turbo and no outside air impacting the temps?

That's why I mentioned upon a cold start and it is 50 degrees outside. Plus it is very slow to update temps. Something changed for sure, just trying to figure it out. These might all be signs of a sensor going bad? IDK.

Mine does the same thing. Always 10 +- a few degrees over ambient on cold starts.

No answer on why this is though, just that you aren't alone. I have the wagner rep too.
