Alarm clown nose not working
Odd thing, on my 2011 535i the red blinking clown nose isn't working for some reason. Anyone know why this could be? The car is equipped with a factory alarm system

Is the alarm actually arming? Anything like a failing door lock, hood switch, etc, could keep the alarm from arming and thus the light would not flash.

Good point. From what I know if there was a failing component, like the hood sensor, the nose would blink fast upon arming indicating something isn't closed. However when locking and unlocking it beeps and flashes lights like usual. Idk I just thought it was unusual and I actually think the nose thing provides an extra level of security to deter people away since I park my car in a parking garage over night.

I’m not sure and it’s too early to check. But what about panic mode on your alarm? Does it flash during activation?
