Need help with windshield washer fluid leak 535i
Have f10 535i with fluid leak behind passenger front tire. replaced o ring where hose meets the tank (using 7/8 ID oring) but it's still leaking. i wish i had filled and observed prior to putting it back together but was in a time crunch. anyway either my oring didn't work or it's something else. i read somewhere the pumps also leak - is that true on the f10? if so, can the tank/pump be removed by sliding it out versus having to take the fender off? taking the fender off seems overwhelming. trying to decide to go ahead and order a pump but unsure about the accessibility. thanks for any help.

Go to RealOEM.com put your last 7 of the Vin, this is for an example for your reference. Your Diagram should be accurate to what you have.

If you have to, take your time removing what is necessary to get to where you need to be, be patient.

Looking at that image, it looks to be VERY similar to an E90 set up. If that's the case, then yes, the pumps definitely leak. That's usually the source of the leak in an E90, not the O-ring on the fill hose. I don't know how to access it on an F10, but on the E90 you don't need to pull the fender (but it helps and is not that hard).

According to this link and post by CTrent06 there is no need to fully remove the fender.
Keep in mind that reservoir for cars with headlight cleaning system is different than those without cleaning system. https://www.bimmerfest.com/threads/w...ervoir.989490/ |
