Check BMW Club's National Capital Area list of tuners and indy shops for mechanics that can code in features for your car.

The shop I recommend for service and coding is in Montgomery County. Check BMW Excluservice at 12224 Parklawn Drive Suite B in Rockville. 301-231-5400.

I hope this helps!

I'm not in your immediate area (NJ) ... but if you want me to code it remotely I can do it for you at no charge

CPTHALL, did you ever get your car coded? I live in Maryland too and would like to have the same thing done.

Is there a menu of options you can get for a 535ix? I looked at the coding section but it looked like a work in progress with people trying everything. Wasn't sure if there was a menu, so to speak, of what was available.

Thanks in advance!

I love the attitude. Just bought a cable myself but I think I'll shadow somebody who knows what they are doing first.

Keep in touch my friend and let us know how it goes.

So i just downloaded all the relevant software packs (E-Sys, datasets, etc) so if all works out, i'm willing to "help". Stay tuned!

Quick update -
I just finished coding my F10. Not as complicated as i initially thought! The whole process took about 10 minutes. I'll post a simple tutorial when i have time to run through everything.

The biggest pain of it all is that all the resources are scattered! Pages and pages in threads with updated links and comments. Having to sit there and run through everything just to get the software downloaded and understand "simple" instructions is time consuming!

I'll try and put something "simple" together too to streamline the learning curve and just make it a "step by step" thread in the hopes of allowing others to save the time and learn how to code.

Interesting how these threads sometimes just sorta die. Anyone still in the Germantown-Gaithersburg-Rockville area?

I'm down in Southern MD, Waldorf. There are a few F10's down here.
