OEM Springs and Struts Color
Just had a random question, have a LCI 550i w/M sport. Was looking after I got new MPS4s installed, the front and rear struts and springs are blue. They have bmw part number plaque printed as part 33-52-6-855-363. Just hadn’t seen blue used from the manufacturer.

It also comes back as a bmw number as it has the bmw emblem on the strut, of course bmw does own mini could share the same part number. The original owner was a much older man and ordered this car and only drove the car 4800 miles a year over 7 years. It was 100% stock, I just hasn’t seen struts and springs blue that were OEM. All service history was preformed at the dealership the car was ordered at.

These cars are under-damped even with the stock springs, unless you have the adaptive dampers. It's not about stressing the struts, it's about whether the car will ride properly, and I think the answer is no with stock struts and lowering springs.

I've been rocking H&R sport springs on my *original/ 11yo* adaptive struts for 3 yrs now. Zero problems and the ride is great excellent.
