For sale, in excellent cosmetic condition, is BMW 535i xDrive. She's pretty but unfortunately, I broke her when I tuned it for increased HP. Starts right up but misfires do not allow drivability.

Per BMW Service Center:

"Fuel injector appears to have damaged the rings of that cylinder. What’s happened is referred to as “wash out” of the cylinder. Basically the faulty fuel injector was leaking enough fuel into the cylinder that it washed away the protective coating of engine oil that coats the friction surface between the cylinder wall and the piston ring".

All Bosh spark plugs, coils and fuel injector were replaced. The good: Fully loaded with literally every available upgrade. Heads up Display, heated steering, front and rear seats. upgraded black leather interior with white stitching. Voice NAV, ECO/SPORT mode. Driver ASST PLUS, Cold Weather package, front, side, rear and overhead cam, Auto start/stop and more.

I upgraded the the exterior by completely blacking it out. Upgraded to staggered wheels. F:255/35zr20 R:285/30ZR20. Red Calipers to make it go faster. lol. M5 Front bumper and lip.black BMW grills, etc... Interior and all electronics are spotless. I also have all originals. All four original BMW tires and rims, front bumper and grill. Standard and all weather BMW floor mats included. See pics. asking $12,900 OBO. Happy to hear all offers but be reasonable please. Quote to get the motor back in fighting shape is $4k for reference. Mileage 73,900. Garage kept.

What kind of tune were you using? Never heard of this problem before.

ECU tune remotely done by someone I found on the forums a while back. They said the same but essentially what I think happened was that it caused overheat which led to coolant tank crack and eventually led to engine issue. spark plugs would also always go out when I had the tune done.

Just figured I'd post to help out My company's Triboceramic engine treatment might be able to fix the coating issue. Might need 2 or 3 treatments but should make a difference just want to help out the community www.rvs-usa.com

Sorry to hear what happened if for some reason that lip fits an M Sport bumper and you'd like to part ways with it I'd like a stab at it
