Size does matter - got 21" ?

Pics of a set of 21" Rohana RFX7 (lowered on H&R coilovers). Wheels come in gloss black, bronze and brushed titanium. I had black wheels before and a black car with black wheels looks like a big black blob. Bronze was a consideration but I opted for brushed titanium because it really showcases the wheels in a best way

ROHANA RFX7 BRUSHED TITANIUM

Front: 21X9.0 +35 (installed 10mm spacers to be flush with the fender)
255/30/21 MICHELIN PILOT SPORT 4S

Rear: 21X10.5 +40 (perfectly flush with fender)
295/25/21 MICHELIN PILOT SPORT 4S

IMO something just looks really off about it. I think it's due to just how skinny the tires are, it makes it look like you're running on bare rim lol

I think it's the shadows. The rear tire looks like at least a 285. Especially as it's a 10.5" wide wheel.

I meant in terms of sidewall. The overall height of the barrels are almost the same height of the tires.

I've pushed my car pretty hard on corners where the tires break loose and have never felt like I lost performance. 21's just fill in the gaps of the f10 very nicely

Thank you. How did you paint your calipers? Or did you powder coat them?

I'm not really concerned with the performance aspect of it. Just the aesthetic. Not a fan of rubber band tires!

How do you like the H&R coilovers? In my experience from the E9X chassis, these were known to be a little bit less sporty than the KW counterparts.

H&R doesn't make coilovers

Correct, H&R springs, not coilovers. I like the ride feel and the height is good. Any lower and I wouldn't be able to take it to a carwash and my front lip would be scraping the ground much more than it is already. It is a cheap way to lower your car. Coilovers are better but also more $$$

H&R definitely does make coilovers. Just not sure if it's actually for AWD. This link seems to imply they are:

https://throtl.com/products/hr-stree...hoCY04QAvD_BwE

I know they make this line for AWD E9X which is the one I was referring to in my post.

Ahh, got it. Your post says H&R Coilovers so that's what I went off of.

interesting...they must have came out just recently with coilovers. they were always known for springs only. not one thread about it here so that's why i'm assuming they just came out. give it a try and let us know

Could it be the twist of the spokes?

you mean how it's twist/slants to the left or do you think it's just the way the picture was taken? fishbowl effect?

How was this process by the way? Would you recommend?

I have been doing some research and it seems like they have pretty good product, just has to be brushed on. They recommend not to use clear coat but I plan on putting some stickers on the caliper so I wanted to clear coat to make them easier to clean.

Thinking I might just go with VHT spray cans which seems to be a close second to G2.
