HPFP Upgrade Question

Whats up guys? Been running MHD Stage2+ E20 map for a bit now and wanted to finally go with a custom map. I was told to upgrade my hpfp but with a price tag over $1100+ to upgrade, I'm wondering if its even worth it considering that I'm on a stock turbo and have no plans to go bigger. I have the basic bolt on mods. Is there a cheaper still efficient option out there?

No point... Don't waste money. You will end up burning the turbo and buying new ones anyway lol.

First time I've heard that but I'll take it. Fyi David Shoup is the one who recommended I get it since he'll be tuning my car.

He might tune it to a safe level rather than maxing out. How much he can get out of stock snail is up to him as he probably knows better than me.

Someone else once told me you can just get meth on stock turbo and make ~400whp, so with Helix same might be possible. But how long that turbo last is another question.

It just spending 1100 on Helix with results that might not be satisfying to me on stock snail might be a gamble since after 5k rpm it dies down.

David knows what he's talking about. I would trust him and I agree you should be 400 whp+ with a custom tune from him if you have FBO w/stock turbos. He told me he could out-tune mhd stage 2+ by over 40 hp on stock turbos. Is it worth it? That's a relative question depending on how much money you have and how bad you want it.

I would rather spend little bit more and get PS1 (800 + install cost) to have that tuned with 2 or 3 gallons of e85 in there with 93 octane to enjoy the upper rpm.

Yeah well that's what I'm trying to figure out. Is it worth it to buy a stage 2 hpfp when I have a stock turbo and never plan to go bigger? I've already reached out to him for clarification but I was curious if anyone here as made the leap on a stock turbo.

I bet David could advise you how much more HP you should expect if you get the HPFP. Then you can do your dollar per HP+headache analysis :-D
