Not aggressive setting, just standard. I do have a Matco scanner to clear the code but it is a stored code. Misfire cyl 4. Not sure if the code is related to the tune though. I removed the tune today and will have more info Mon or Tues.

I have the Rheingold application (dealer computer to read all codes and provide service plan.). If anyone is around NYC, I will be happy to pull all the codes for you.

No charge. You just need to work around my schedule.

Had the service recall done about 3 weeks ago. 2011 550i 58k miles.

Once every 5 start ups I'd say, it gets that weird crank sound directly after starting the car, similar to if you were to turn the key on an already started car.

Does anybody else still get this sound after getting the service recall done?

This noise is what prompted my appointment to the dealer back on dec 29. That's when the ccp was announced.

I am seeing HUGE variances in time frame for these repairs! That is most unfortunate and aggravating for customers to say the least.
Mine was among the first to receive this N63 Cust Care Pkg at my local dealer.
From the time I dropped it off, it took 10 days to get my car back. But I have read 2 weeks to 2 months.

Car started misfiring again today while at idle. Power doesn't seem to be as strong. Had the ccp done 4 weeks ago. Anyone else having the symptoms reappear since having the ccp?

i put stage 1 back on today. started up and ran fine but haven't had a chance to drive it yet. I'll probably drive it for a week and if no problems will add stage 2.

its the starter, mine was doing that exactly, mentioned it and they replaced it under warranty and hasnt done it since.

guys, was just told after my car was at the dealer for 5 days that they didnt perform the care package, the SA told me its a new rule, that unless the car is running rough or driveablility issues that they wouldn't do it... now I am not sure if its that dealer or bmwna.

Hopefully I get more details, but that made me pretty upset, if anything I will just go to another dealership 45 mins away.

That's new ^, Please report back.

Maybe call BMWNA, they had the full record of the recall on my 550i on their system.

He said it was BMWNA ... I dont know... but he said that the car has to have a CEL on or signs of roughness for them to inspect and then see if they can do the care package.

I will probably call another dealer and see what they have to say.

If thats the case I wont be keeping the car like I planned, shame...

I had to get two coils replaced, 3 and 4 after a misfire code. Bms 2 is back on and the car runs fine.

maybe they're just prioritizing handling first cars that have problems and doing all the rest later? I don't see how BMW can roll out a recall and then decide to stop doing it. Would be a huge PR and quality control fail.

This is correct. I just dropped my car off to get the starter replaced and my SA told me that they were doing it for all cars, however they are taking ones with drive-ability issues first. He also told me that the parts are back ordered and some cars have waited at the dealership for close to 2 months. Another issue on this is that the dealerships dont actually order parts for the cars. The computers log the data and transmit to BMWNA where they then make sense of it and decide what needs to be ordered which is also causing some delays.
