i went for a drive to see if perhaps my tips were too close but to my surprise the tray diffuser wasn't hot at all the diffuser tray doesn't curve downward but it's probably hard to tell by the pictures. i will be bringing the car back to the muffler shop to have the tips extended 1/2" past the diffuser but probably next month.

oh and the rear reflectors on

I'd recommend leaving the badges on there just so "everyone" knows its a 535i and not a wanna be M5. I just plasticdip (I know I'm gonna a ton of shit for it) but it worked perfect to black out my badges (535i and xdrive for me). Its been on there for over a year and half and no problem.

i think it just looks cleaner without badges. yes people give crap about M5 badges but most M5 guys who see my car will notice the front end and not think twice

so i thought i was gonna get around to clay bar the car so i can do i minor paint correction but spent some time wrapping the other side marker in carbon fiber vinyl as well as the fog light cover





also got the front splitter wrapped. use to look like this fading after every car wash


and wrapped with 5d carbon fiber vinyl

Your car is looking better and better, not really a fan of the diffuser splitter though. It's a bit too much imo. But that's the cool thing about these forums, we get to witness other people's builds/taste.

Thanks for the compliment! everybody has different taste from simple and clean, moderate enthusiast, the aggressive enthusiast and than there's the full out inside and out, performance, wide body enthusiast. I think this is about as aggressive I'm going to get with the addition of my 21" wheels i have yet to slap on. Waiting for the G2 caliper paint to come in from R1Concepts before i put the wheels back on. I'd like to get back into the car shows once she's done

my G2 Gold caliper paint came in today but i won't be able to work on the calipers until tomorrow (Sat)


but for today i did have some alone time with her as i rubbed her down with the clay bar and some lube


if anyone hasn't clay bar'd their car you should...at least once a year! your paint literally starts to build up grime and contaminants from just everyday driving! you can hear at first when you massage the clay bar into the paint it almost sounds like sand paper but after a few seconds the sound goes away with just silence than it feels smooth like butter!




really makes a difference after you wipe her down


really liking the Chemical Guy's Natural Satin Shine tire dressing not too glossy and wet..just a nice satin sheen to it!

Hexlogic Pads (Orange, White and Black) and Cleaner came in as well. probably start on the mild paint correction on Sunday.

started working on the mild paint correction as i decided to wait on my next day off on Wednesday to start painting the calipers as the G2 kit states to allow the paint to cure for 24 hours. i'll also paint the hub and the heat shield as well but gloss black and a few coats of clear on top. but for now i was able to use CG's V34 and V36. tomorrow i'll finish off with V38. any imperfections i'll use CG's BlackLight which is basically a glaze. than i'll seal everything up with JetSeal and than some ButterWet Wax and call it a day

here's a few shots of the final polish CG V36! i think the reflections shots says it all





so started working on painting the hub and shield. primered first with 2 coats


here's the stock front...just a silver rusty color


while that was drying i started detailing the engine bay with CG's Natural Shine dressing. very impressed with this stuff as it's not greasy to the tough and i love how it leaves just a Satin finish! the engine bay looks like a million bucks!


4 coats base black followed by 3 coats clear!


so while that was drying i started polishing the door jambs! looks like it's dripping wet pure sex right


so for the fronts i also painted the spindle just because you can see it through the wheels! think it looks much better


here's what it looks like with my bronze wheels on. not mounted yet as i still have to paint the calipers on my next day off. but you get the idea

let see if i can explain this without pictures lol! so towards the front of the side marker (front of the car) i used a small plastic pry tool to pop the corner up. when you do you'll see a metal clip. usually it should pop out but because it's got tension on it and you're pulling on just the corner plastic portion it feels like it will break so once i see that metal tab i take a small flat head and push the metal tab in to relieve the tension and the side marker should pop out. towards the back of the side marker it shoud pull towards the front as there's a plastic tab it hooks under.
