Normal amount of misfires on N63B44U0 that can be tolerated
Howdy,
I've run noncontinuous monitoring tests through the Car Scanner via ELM 327, and it showed some 4 misfires on 5th cylinder in the idle run. I remember having problems with engine shutters on N52B30U0, and back then it had done 100+ misfires weighted moving average in 10 cycles. That was a faulty ignition coil. Dealer shop replaced some coil (didn't say on which cylinder), and I wonder if this replaced coil is causing misfires. But even if it does, are these 4 misfires in the idle warmup run OK? Can this easily be tolerated? I'm asking because I have a 11-year-old N46B20, and last time I checked it showed 0 misfires in the 10 cycle WMA run and 0 misfires in the current run on every single cylinder. Thank you. |

Swap coils to a different cylinder and see if it follows.
