BMW iDrive

I have a F10 BMW 535i with iDrive NBT.

The drive is clicking, giving me "navigation is starting", loss of bluetooth, etc

I read through the steps to reimage a HDD with QNX but hit a wall when I wasn't able to get a license in order to install the OS using the new HDD connected to a virtual box.

I gave up on that option, now, my friend has given me a drive from one of his cars that is the same model/year/iDrive system.

Now that I have the drive, how do I remove the encryption on the drive so my iDrive can recognize it?

I put HIS hdd in my unit just to see if it would work, and it didn't.

I can get the information from his head unit (I remember reading somewhere the password is a combination of information found labeled on the iDrive unit).

Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Ethernet MAC Address, BT MAC Address, Long (hex) NBT Serial
These are the credentials for the unlock.
