When I first purchased my car I used speedway then looked more into gas quality so I stick with shell.

93 shell is all my 550i Big Bertha drinks. It gets its chevron complete fuel treatment/GDI cleaner at every oil change.

Rather spend a couple more bucks that is easily obtained and used than waiting for a big bill that is NOT easy to do like injectors or hpfp. It really does go a long way.

Now....on my 1996 Chevy c1500 with a 5.7......this one gets 87 and is very content with that lol. It uses 93 like 87 so no need haha.

How does this work when fuel does not contact the valves in direct injection engines?

It doesn't. It will help keep the injectors clean.

That would be for direct and port fuel injection, which is obvious. The whole point seemed it was being used to be good for GDI... "GDI cleaner"
