Thanks. I have them coded to not turn off, normally over something like 5MPH they would turn off. Gives me a good view and still be able to look forward.

Right now I am spooling to around 21 PSI and tailing off to around 16. I am hoping to be able to hold 20PSI to 6k RPM when I run again in December. Lots more in the works and with the cooler weather I am hoping to be 525-550HP for the December NFZ AZ. That is all I want from this car, I think anything further puts the engine at too much risk.

525 nice!! anymore would be dreadful especially since no one out there is even thinking about making bottom end components.

That's not true, the shop I work at is in process of building 2 closed-deck converted N55 with fully forged bottom ends. Both engines expected to be making 6-700whp with potentially more if the turbo systems will support.

The N54's we build are out there in the wild making 700, 800, 900whp. No reason the N55 can't do the same when properly built.

AWESOME RIDE AZ!!!! I have been searching all the forums for a 535 like yours. I just started loving my new purchase a lot more!

If you were starting at base like me, would you do anything different? Keep in mind I have kids too and need it daily.

Thanks! I use mine as a daily. When my wife is in the car I usually keep it in comfort mode, when I am by myself it is always Sport/Sport +. I love that it acts like a super smooth BMW or it can go fast when I want it to. The only thing I dislike is it looks too tame. I get more people trying to race my 95 M3 which on a good day might make 200HP.

You have a 6 speed I take it? Wanna pull the trigger on stage 2 pure turbo and fuel system, but I want to make sure that shep and dodson have all the tranny components on the market before I grenade my auto.

No problems, the 8-Speed is supposed to be able to take mroe power, I have heard around 600HP before any issues.

Did you have bootmod3 before pure stage 2?

What JB4 map do you get the best performance for street driving or the airstrip?

Did you use race fuel or e85 mix?

I added Bootmod3 after PS2. When my car was down to do PS2 install I sent out my DME for unlocking. I tuned initially with just JB4, then added BM3 later. Right now I am running an OTS map, but I plan to work directly with PTF to improve my map for E50+. Here in AZ our "E85" is E54, I run that daily. There is a new station that opened recently and is promising real E85, I would't run that daily, but for events like NFZ I would do it. The problem with higher Ethanol mixes is consumption goes way up. On 91 I average around 21MPG, on E54 I average around 18.5MPG.

As for JB4, I always run Map 6, I just save a couple of versions, for daily driving I keep boost levels lower. Honestly for street driving, Map 2 would be sufficient and work well.

Torques is what kills transmissions. My understanding is the N55 tune 535i is a torque monster when modified. Not sure about the 6.

I'll get better pictures, but the inlet where it turns 90 degrees on the stock one really comes in on itself making it the major choke point. The middle ones maintains a decent diameter the entire way.
