No branding as far as I can see, but it appears to use the same seal material as the male BMW plug. There is a small tab (circled area) that is used to secure the housing to the plug. As you can see, it's a bit too thick by maybe a hair, requiring you to push in quite hard to get it to engage. When you do that, because there is no clip on the other side, it introduces a slight angle. Not a big deal, just requires a razor blade and some scrapping to thin out the tab by a tiny bit.

I went searching for these since I'm trying to build a budget MST intake. We'll see how that goes. Does anyone know the ID of the tube where the MAF sits?

First 3 orders going out. Inlet all the way to behind the grill is 650. Includes heat shield, all adapters etc. Doing an install video. I just got done doing the harness for the 3 orders.

The high flow inlets are on back order so I can start shipping as soon as those are available again. It is possible you could get messages for too much boost if you don't run a tune so that would be up to you!

Think the mst intake would cause the same overboost condition? It's routed in a similar fashion I just don't know how it gets air from the front as the intake inlets are on the opposite side..

The difference between this and the MST is that this one is actually catching and shoving air down the intake into the turbo so your turbo doesn't have to work as hard. Also this comes with a full 3" pipe all the way to a high flow inlet on the turbo so a lot more air is able to flow through the turbo. So if you stay on a stock tune, your DME will think it needs to work harder than it actually needs to and will over boost.

That will not happen with an MST intake as it does not include the high flow inlet and is still just sucking air like any other intake on the market.

If you run this intake without a tune you might see an error like this:
