F10 Interior trims
Hi, I would like to know if I can separate that chrome circled in yellow from the remaining trim(see image), so that I will wrap the remaining part only of the trim. In other words I don't want to wrap the chrome part. You have front and back of the trim in the image.
Thanks in advance |

- Cleaned thoroughly with IPA. - Taped and covered the chrome area(s) with painter's tape; right up to the crease. - Wrapped with ViVvid 3D Carbon Fiber. - Cut right on the creased areas (protected by the painter's tape; as to not scratch the chrome surfaces. - Re-installed and enjoyed. Pics Attached. |

Looks good either way, I got wrapped over the wood and the chrome but was thinking about rewrapping it with a dark brushed aluminum on the chrome parts with CF on the wood portion but leaving the console all brushed aluminum (one of those wrap freaks that rewraps all the time). TIA

Hey 550bye, I installed it about five months ago. We had quite a cold winter (for us) of about low 20s, and it held up well. No peel backs or shrinkage.
However, if I were to do it again (perhaps common sense), I would ensure to use a "very" sharp blade in a dust free room; as the blade bit some of the edges causing minor ripples while cutting around the aluminum area and potential dust got on the tape and showed through the vinyl with minute indentations. Although no one can see it, my OCD says it's there. Good luck. It's a great project to do on a weekend. |

I will definitely take the advice of the sharp blade for the next time. And believe me, I notice all of the imperfections on my wraps to although no one else sees them and it drives my crazy. Thanks again!
