I have a 2011 535i, with paddle shifters, heated wheel, and vibro for drive assistance functions. I purchased an LCI M sport steering wheel with the same functions to swap in thinking its a plug and play install. However after install, put the car in drive, it stays in M2 mode, and the car won't shift. I put the old wheel back on and it works fine. Any idea if something needs to be coded, or if this just isnt possible?

Resistance on the paddles are different for pre-LCI and LCI.
More info here: https://f10.5post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1274977 Grab the old paddles and test the resistance, then transfer that to the new LCI paddles. Your car is expecting a pre-LCI signal but getting a LCI one instead, making it shift wonky. Unless you've already seen that post and done everything in it. In that case... maybe try VO coding the SZL and EGS after replacing the steering wheel code in the FA?
