NBT EVO retrofit from Bimmer Tech

Recently did an NBT EVO retrofit from Bimmer Tech. I have a 13 550i with NBT. Very satisfied how it turned out. Everything works well with the specs of my car. Carplay was a plus for me even at full screen. Shot out to Nelson@BimmerTech

Were you able to make ConnectedDrive work? Integration with RTTi and online services is one of the things that's holding me back.

Since mine wasnt working prior to retrofit, i was good with that. Rtti on google maps is great.There is a group in Russia says they can make it work with their atmEmulator.

I see. Thanks for the update. So when you run carplay, you end up using Google Maps? I'm trying to decide if that's the case I might be better off just retrofitting carplay, since I don't care as much about the touchscreen.

Go to the G30 forums and see what they think of Carplay. In short, mostly they're not impressed and wouldn't purchase the option again.

Hello what about Head up display, when you see BMW navigation or google maps navigation is the head up display directions functional or this interface does not work?

You only see BMW nav on HUD, not google maps.

On the initial install before adding the G30 screen did you reuse your existing screen and controller?

How much did the G30 screen run you?

Did you DIY the install or get it done? I'm curious how tricky and time consuming it is
