I was under that impression as well but I found out (the hard way) that there are 2 different mirrors for Pre-lci cars





LCI if youre curious. Notice these don't have a 'tab' on the left side of the cover like pre-lci cars do since is integrated in the housing that holds the mirror on LCI cars

You will have a big opening because the other mirror housing piece is bigger than the ones that come on our cars.

Yep test fitted them crazy gap had to understand where. Dont seem worth it to buy different mirror assembly. Oh well live and learn.

Would this be possible to swap out the supporting rings to fit the mirror cap to fill in the gap with slight to very little modification? It looks as if basically same screw holes.

I went ahead and purchased one side supporting ring to test fit it, if it will work ill order other side, if not ill send it right back for refund.

There is a supporting between the actual mirror and cap. Only reason why there is a gap with the one piece cap. The ring is only 30$ off fcpeuro so I will try to retrofit the non camera version mirror assembly ring to match up just to fill that hole.

Ah makes sense now. I guess another week before you get the ring than try to make it work. Looks like mine along with the carbon fiber diffuser is being delivered today

Should be the 15th or 16th, ill see if it works. I love getting things in mail for car. Currently in marion ohio about to watch drag racing.
