New to mods

Good afternoon all,

I am in the process of purchasing an aFe Pro DryS Stage 2 Carbon Fiber Air Intake System for '13 535xi and looking to also get a tune on my ECU. I have looked into one online website for the ECU tune, are there others that I am not aware of out there?

Also favorite online stores for good deals for any BMW mods?

Is there anything else that I could do without putting in a new turbo?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

tm

I dont think its worth getting aFe intake. If you spendinf that much than might as well go with Showtime's custom intake setup for same price. At least you will see faster spool and better air temps.

It's better to spend the money upgrading intercooler than cold air intake.

He would notice too much lag from a dead stop with the bigger intercooler specially with factory turbo that probably doesnt push enough air. We need a mid-size intercooler for our cars.

I have the VRSF intercooler which I believe is much bigger than wagner, so I wonder how that one will do.

Buy a bootmod3 license, much better upgrade than intake for the money. Intakes make VERY little gain on these cars and often throw error codes.

Based on your opinion on day to day drive, do you regret upgrading to VRSF due to turbo lag? So far I only done BootMod3 ECU tune which really make a big different. I'm thinking to upgrade my intercooler to Wagner Evo 2 clone but if I only do mostly short burst run in the city, do you think it doesn't make a difference in IAT?

The problem with stock intercooler is that as soon as you step on gas the IAT gets above 100, but with bigger intercooler I have yet to see my self go close to 100 degrees.
