Help with DRL coding

Hey guys. New member here. I recently purchased a 2011 528i with halogen lights. Long story short, I thought it came with xenons since the car was completely loaded with every other option.

Since the car has halogens, the DRL lights up only the halogen and angel eye located next to the grill instead of keeping the headlight off and only turning on both the angel eyes.

I have read that the car can be coded to only run the angel eyes for DRL. Also maybe even possible to brigthen the angel eyes to match the xenon equiped models. The angel eyes are coded to be duller on purpose due to the halogen also being turned on for DRL.

I am located in South Florida so I am hoping there is someone who can help me out.

I am also looking for coding of other popular features.

Thanks!

You have to code the FRM module (ecu), section 3050, function DRL_Modus, and try with one of these values:
0: DRL disabled;
1: DRL_H via beam, halogen U.S. (without lights);
2: DRL_L via low beam;
3: DRL_S via separate TFLeuchte; U.S. Xenon (rings + bottom);
4: TFL_S via separate TFLeuchte; ECE Xenon (rings + bottom);
5: TFL_ECE (North Country Comfort);
6: DRL_S_ohne_SL via separate TFLeuchte without taillight / tail lights, U.S.;
7: TFL_S_ohne_SL via separate TFLeuchte without tail light / rear light, ECE

hey saw your post im having the same dilemma; but no one seems to know anyone down south that does the coding. I'm still looking myself....however you can retro fit some hid's to the headlights and just switch out the h7 bulbs to leds...but I feel your frustration when you want your halo's to shine only like the other bimmers....well let me know if you come across anyone that can do the coding.....email:dwanc23@gmail.com..954-729-6709

Has anyone tried coding the xenon options, when you don’t have them? They seem to act as required, but not sure if there would be a problem using them on a halogen car...

I’d like to achieve this too on our 2013 F11
