Alignment shop broke my Clock Spring. How?
Picked up the car (2012 F10) after an alignment and the restraint system is on and the steering wheel controls are dead. Also, the steering wheel is making clicking noises when turned. I know its a broken clock spring but how is that possible on these newer cars with electric steering racks? And how do I go about having them cover it? The GM said go get a diagnosis and we'll go from there...

You start with, it wasn't like that before.
Yes you should get the diagnosis. Electric steering just means electric assist vs hydraulic. You force the wheel, something is going to give. |
