20' tire size question
I know there are a ton of threads on this topic but i can't seem to find an answer to my specific question.
I've been running 245/35 and 285/30 tires on 20x9 and 20x10 inch wheels on 2 different sets of wheels over the past 2 years. Despite driving carefully I've managed to bend almost all of them at various points due to crappy NYC roads. I'm looking at getting another set of wheels with the specs below and am looking for suggestions for meatier tires for some more protection. I'm lowered on ACS springs Front- 20x8.5 +30 Rear- 20x10 +38 any help is greatly appreciated! |

No, that tire size will rub with those wheels!
255/40-20 is possible on F10 but the wheel offset is crucial. This photo show 255/40-20 on 8.5x20" wheels with ET32, less than 1/10" clearance with the car on the lift and rubs with the weight on the wheels. The front offset needs to be around 25-27, lower and the tire will rub the fender liner and higher the tire will rub the steering knuckle. |
