I have a 2011 550i does it have a dual
Stage air bag or single stage airbag? Is that even how you phrase it? That’s how this eBay seller has it on his listing would a wheel like this be plug and play to my car?

USA... Dual stage. Europe... Single stage.

That listing is for a wheel with a single-stage airbag. I got the pre-LCI sport wheel for my base 2012 535. As the airbag cover was different but a very similar design I just transplanted the guts from my dual-stage airbag into the new wheel's airbag cover. I have a DIY here (or on that other site) somewhere. I believe if you search "steering wheel swap" you would find it. The key being a similarly sized airbag ans cover. I don't know if the airbag guts from a trapezoidal shaped airbag will fit into the round cover.

Thanks for the reply. They have the dual stage available also. If I get the dual stage will a wheel like that be plug and play?

Should.... But don't quote me. I believe others swapped into this wheel soon after it was produced.
