Hi everyone,
Something really bizarre happened the other day while driving home from work. I’d been driving for about 7 miles and stopped briefly at my sister’s house. I switched the car off for around 30 seconds, then continued on my way. At the first junction, the brakes worked perfectly fine. But at the next junction, the brake pedal suddenly went straight to the floor and the brakes didn’t engage. I quickly pumped the pedal, and the pressure came back. After that, the brakes worked normally for the next few junctions—until it happened again. I was lucky to be driving slowly both times. Since then, I’ve driven another 5 miles home without any issues. There’s been no warning light on the dash and no fault codes detected. I’ve had two independent garages check the car, and neither could find anything wrong. Has anyone experienced something similar or have any ideas what could cause this? I’m really not comfortable driving the car until I know what’s going on. |
