On the up side, people with dry well will be happy.

The rain didn't stop a couple of hundreds teenager at a house party (2 house up the road) to create mayhem. Thanks to Facebook, they invite 10 people who invite 10 people and so on.

5 cop cars show up and it took them just under 90 minutes to clear the street.

Since I had not been out until the police show-up, I noticed that there were cars park on both side of the road as far as I could see.

Rain has subsided to being windy and believe it or not temps are rising with expected 17C later on in the week, right now its 15C.

Daylight savings moved the sunrise an hour earlier, but still was able to catch it!

Evenings are so dark already, pitch black by dinner time. Still hovering around 5-10C daytime highs.

After dipping below freezing last night, temps have recovered to 60 F and sunny as lunch time approaches. That's 16 C for the metric parts of the world.

Yesterday was mostly sunny, and the perfect day to change the air/oil/fuel filters on the almost-Mighty Freightliner, and feed it 3.25 gallons of Mobil-1 for its annual autumn oil change.....

We had a new season low of 26 F-reezing degrees last night, and that 4-letter "S" word is in the long-range forecast for next Tuesday.

Meanwhile, down yonder at our SC tree farm, the temperature is approaching a perfect 70 F a few minutes before noon.....

Warm today, but windy as hell again. I went out for a ride and called it quits after 20 miles. Heading for the 30's as daytime highs on Sunday and Monday.

Getting 3 days of rain next week. Initially it was going to be a decent amount, now maybe an inch. Disappointed. Would like our share of rain this winter; after all, parts of Southern California are still in a drought.

Southern California is a desert, by nature, so drought is our natural condition. We just make it look good with imported water.

Parts of SoCal are desert, but not all of it is. Coastal areas like the cities of LA and San Diego (where you live) are less desert like. The actual desert regions are more inland, like where I live (Alta Loma, Inland Empire), with 100+ degrees Fahrenheit being common in the summer.
