Alpha Tauri

Please send the wing maker for AT to Mercs F1 camp ASAP. AT seems to use basla wood and waffles.

You are right, I was referencing the speed and car length gap during formation laps for restarts. Too much of a gap disadvantages the cars in front regarding tire temps. Hammy exceeded the 10 car length rule on the restart which helped him get the hole shot in part with the rocket PU.

Hopefully that helps.

This can be a binary rule and eliminate the emotion from the equation.
Got it, thanks man. Understood.
And if that's the spirit of the rule, I agree. Not the letter, but the spirit of it.

Still think he didn't run max off anywhere though. He kept on the track, and max just wasn't braking where he should, forcing himself out of the track, in a "hit or miss" situation.

Here are a few screen grabs of Lap 43. Conceptually I don’t view this as a problem but FIA can’t dish out penalties for this sometimes and do nothing for largely identical situations. It’s gotta cut both ways, my preference is to let them race.

Masi FIA race director Michael Masi said that was “borderline black-and-white warning flag” moment. Yet he did nothing, dude is in over his head.

I will still congratulate either of the two who will win next race. Lets hope it is a good one, and not spoiled by penalties, crashes, or whatnot.

Ham ahead the entire time from entry to apex though right? And on inside position?

His contention is that HAM goes wide, not leaving enough room for MAX, which is understandable. If he did so, as the stills show, it's not cool and it's against the rules.
I'll have to re-watch as I might have missed it that way.

Ah. I guess I can’t really tell the exact line from the stills to even judge.

Even if HAM pushed MAX wide, HAM stayed within the boundaries of the track. MAX completely ignored track boundaries in Brazil. There is a huge difference. MAX's move in Brazil couldn't have been done with a gravel trap or wall at the edge of the track.

True, and to continue to be fair, I'm not sure Max ever got a penalty for not leaving room before.

He did not get a penalty in Brazil.
HAM didn't get a penalty either.

The penalty is really a black and white flag, which Max got for swerving, as we know, you're only allowed one move to block.

I just watched it again.

HAM does not "push Max off track".
He has the turn. His move to the outside is his blocking a pass.

That's just my opinion, obviously, and I agree I wouldn't penalize that move.

If you watch Max in Brazil, HAM goes for the inside, Max blocks him, then he goes to the outside, and Max moves again.

Again, you cannot move twice. Whether on a straight or on a turn. He didn't get penalized for that either. So, even if one is worse than the other in anyone's opinion, they're being let to race.

He got a black and white for weaving on a straight in the same race.

Not totally related:
At the end, he said he didn't try to block or move off track, it was just that "his tires were too hot and he lost grip".

When HAM said that he didn't know Max had been advised to give him the position, even if that was proven by radio as we all watched the race and knew that was true, a couple of lunatics said he's a dirty liar and a cheat lol
At the same time, they repeated Max's excuse above as truth.

There's no winning. There's no debating.
Like I said, MKSixer is the only one who's right. Better to watch it at home and discuss the race with our kids and significant others than to see all of the crap that's spewed here.

Both (HAM and MAX) they were aware, the DRS zone was coming on the straight ..
To get and to keep P2 was the key there !

What followed was : "The Roadrunner" !
Do you understand ?

Anything non tech they just don't get it. All Ham had to do was keep going he then hit Max gawping at his dash and clueless Mikey penalised Max..what a F* joke and his b&w flag quip was out of Popye the Sailor.
That Hams elastic bendy wing which didn't break off was also not investigated shows the whole shebang is rigged.

So since max's transmission didn't fail for the same crash as Charles and was not investigated, this means the whole thing is rigged for max?

Right, good logic.

''I know Max,he has been fighting for the title all year and he remains cool''
Former F1 driver van der Garde has said Max will get the title one way or another, it'll be Yes Marina for the Belgian where he won last year though the track has been strangely altered since last year,is it done to favour Merc rocket ship again?

You know that Ferrari mechanicals are on the limit as such for more speed,Chas's impact was more severe also full side on rather than Max's forward side swipe and rebound.

I'm sure van understands the pressure of a title battle of this magnitude more than Nico Rosberg does, you know even though Nico was in literally in the same position as max and under the same conditions, while van has only competed in F1 for 1 season and has 0 career points.

Who knows, championship is still up for grabs but the pressure on max is probably mind blowing knowing he could have bungled an easy title.

Yup I'm sure they spent massive amounts of cash on track redevelopment early on in the year because they knew exactly how Mercede's car would play out. You know even though Mercedes sucked all early part of the season so it would have been a massive waste of money for what could've been a failed attempt to help Merc, especially if max didn't bungle the attempt and wrapped up the championship early. But again who knows how this will end.

So different crashes have different damage outcomes?

You know kind of like wings and potential damage?

Brundle sometimes has good advice and comments but he should STFU about Max,of course being from blighty like Hill boy he wouldn't dare say anything negative about ham's faults, the hypocrite
