New Intercooler
After much reading and research, I've decided that an improved intercooler will be my first mod. Mainly because any tuning moving forward would almost require a larger, better heat dissipating cooler as a cherry on top.
What brand have folks used with tunes? There are a lot of knock offs and china brands, so I'm looking for a drop in, no modifications cooler. Thanks for your time. Jim

VRSF and Wagner Tuning, also, upgrading your piping to aluminum is also a great upgrade for starters as well and will compliment the Intercooler.

Yes, VRSF & Wagner are the go-tos. Wagner maybe more so (rumor is VRSF just copied them).
I will also add MAD into the mix: https://mad-us.com/mad-bmw-e-chassis...-stepped-core/ |

I definately like the price of the MAD FMIC, price is awesome, VRSF price is repectable, tried and true, and Wagner looks quality, I watched some videos on install and some comparisions.

They are a tight fit! Diverter valve install on N55 I heard is more difficult than intercooler by a longshot lol. Intercooler is quite accessible and just a few plastic pieces in the way. I watched Several insightful videos.
