BMW F10 Connected Drive
I am looking to buy BMW F10 , 2010 Plate..
It's got Pro Nav, Connected drive was it optional extra or only available on later Lci Models. As in the advert it shows idrive menu but cant see connected drive option. If the car does not have that option am i going to miss out too much.. https://usedcars.bmw.co.uk/vehicle/2...e-2515bb7f79f4 |

Any Pro Nav equipped F10 can have Connected Drive - but it requires an active subscription at about £120 a year for CIC navigation fitted cars.
It is of limited use really for cars manufactured before September 2011, as earlier cars do not have Real Time Traffic Information. On a 2010 car you'll get some of the remote features on the smartphone app - vehicle lock and unlock mostly - and you'll be able to get basic news and weather information and use Google Maps send to car and the concierge service.

I notice that connected drive has dropped to £90 on my car, a 65 plate with business nav.
What does this actually give me if I pay the money? The bmw site is light on detail and I see I still have to pay extra on top if I want rtti or the remote lock features. As an aside had a basic hire car on holiday with android auto, what a revelation compared to idrive. |
