Steering wheel doesn't default to radio presets
Is there a way to set the steering wheel control to toggle through the radio presets? This was how the car originally worked until I went in for service. After getting the car back, every time I turn on the car, the steering wheel knob scrolls through the all of the radio stations, not just my presets. If I hit the radio button so that my presets are shown on my nav, the steering wheel will only then start scrolling through my presets.
I searched and couldn't find anything related to this so hopefully it isn't a repost. Anyone have a solution to this? Thanks in advance! |

It all depends on how you last left the radio menu in iDrive. In iDrive, go to the Radio menu and select Presets. Your steering wheel controls will then work as you want them to.

Got it! Seems like I actually had to select one of my presets with the iDrive first in order for it to remember I was in the presets menu. Before I was just going to the presets and selecting it with the steering wheel, but after restarting the car the steering wheel would go back to scrolling through all the radio stations.
Or... my car just decided to start working again. Either way, thanks for everyone's help! |
