High Beam Assist through Bimmercode?

Hi guys,

Need some help here. I am trying to enable HBA through the BimmerCode app, and this is what has to be done (per some forum guidelines):

FRM/3050/FLA_VERBAUT/aktiv FRM/3050/FLA_AUTO_AKTIV/automatisch HU_CIC/3000/HIGH_BEAM_ASSISTANT/aktiv KAFAS/3015/FLA_ON_OFF/aktiv

The last option (KAFAS/3015/FLA_ON_OFF/aktiv) is not available through the Bimmercode app (although the KAFAS folder is there since I have the KAFAS camera).

When I coded the remaining 3 available options, my car displayed an error “camera based support systems failure”. I couldn’t clear the code through the Biimerlink either, it kept coming back. So I reverted the 3 options back to stock and the error disappeared.

Any ideas how to fix this? My car is a 2014 LCI F10 (EU model). The VIN is 676050.

Many thanks!

There is hardware required for this, a sensor that is built into the rear view mirror mount.

I already have the hardware (KAFAS camera) since mu car has the Lane Change Warning, Traffic Sign Recogniton, Pedestrian protection, etc.

Stephan from Bimmercode informed me that expert mode is not yet available for the KAFAS module (security reasons he said), but he promised me a customized app. Still waiting for him to deliver.

Hello,

Did you manage to get the cutomized app ?
I am in the same situation (I have Kafas/FLA) but not active.
I just want to activate it by coding HBA Options.
But even with last BimmerCode version Expert mode is not available in KAFAS menu.

Thanks a lot for your help.

Can someone post a pic of the camera that is necessary for the the High Beam assist feature? I do not have Lane Change Warning system, however it looks like there is a small camera built into my rear-view mirror. It would be nice if I could add some of these features.

I can't tell if this is a camera, but it is built into the mount of my rearview mirror. Can someone advise if this is the camera needed for high beam assist?

This is def not the camera. its just the rain sensor and light sensor..

Camera would be much bigger and you'll see it besides or beneath these two.
