Cost of repainting front bumper

Just curious what it'd take to get the front bumper repainted. Got a bit of a rash so presume sand/repaint should be fine. Looked at replacing the bumper but the could not find any suitable stock replacement in the same color.

Thank you!

To have the many rock chips "removed" and the bumper cover painted cost me around $800 here in Kommiefornya. I would imagine your cost would be much less.

It will also depend on the quality of the shop, your requirements for quality.
They will most likely want to do a "blend" (feathering), to transition from the new paint to old. For the bumper, this would include the hood and both fenders. This is also going to cover the chips they most likely have.

Dealer quoted me $1000 easily but had my local Autobody paint my front bumper for $250. Turned out awesome. Same shop previously painted my rear bumper and side skirts.

Did you do only the bumper or the fenders/feathering?

I'm a little sketched by cheaper repaints. I had my hood repainted for $300, and when I took a paint depth guage to it, it was pretty much 2.5 or so mils. Factory paint is around 4-6 mils. So yea, a LOT thinner than factory. It'll rock chip pretty easily.

I did a M-Sport retrofit with eBay bumpers though, and I plan on getting proper OEM M-Sport bumpers later down the line, so I'll probably get the hood and stuff repainted at a much nice shop when I do that.

So far after 2.5 years no issues with the paint
