So I wanted to create this thread for those of us in the process or in the stages of modding/upgrading their car and it could be anything interior, exterior components, cosmetics, performance, ect...even little things like painted reflectors. thought this would be nice to see what everyone is doing or planning on doing and maybe have questions on some upgrades they weren't too sure about or who to order from? i'll start

so many of you know i'm in the middle of getting the F90 front bumper done. I have the bottom carbon fiber splitter already and I just ordered the other day the carbon fiber bumper splitters. will take it to the same shop who painted my MSPORT side skirts and rear bumper as they did a very nice job on the paint. I will replace my current gloss black double slat grills with the Carbon fiber double slat grills. i'm trying to find some real one's but the only thing I've found is the carbon look. if anyone knows of any please let me know.

Thought this thread would be pretty active or maybe the F10 itself as far as builds is really slowing down since alot of people have moved onto other cars?

I received new Mtech front and rear bumpers plus side skirts today. Going to dry fit them this weekend and then off to paint on monday.

Thinking of selling it soon...so no more major mods...

Want to replace it with the new rs6 wagon, or a panamera gran turismo or e63 amg wagon...in 18 mos or so

something about a 600hp Station Wagon that makes me giggle like a school girl...

I cried a little inside when I had to take if all off and put the stock equipment back on. They go in for paint tomorrow.

Not much here. SO far have knocked out the simple/cheap mods:

- BMS Stage 1 (piggy back)
- Matte black double slat grilles
- Plasti-dipped emblems and side chrome pieces
- 3M 35% tint
- CF trunk spoiler (that needs to be re-installed because I did a shitty job)

To dos (at some point):
- looking at TSW Bathurst, HRE FF04 or Rohana RF2 wheels in black. Want 20s but might go 19s for better performance (not to mention NYC potholes suck)
- some type of tune (after warranty is done) - Either an Sergey tune or maybe just a JB4
- upgraded turbos (this can wait till I actually need to)

Can't think of anything else I would want/need.

There is a facebook group for N63 engines that he is active on. Also known as badblack550 or something on here. Bunch of people swear by his tunes. Met him once...good dude and was helpful. Bought a oil cooler valve from him and he met me someplace convenient here in NYC to deliver (he lives in Jersey).

Intake and downpipes from arm, this weekend I'll start on it.
Thinking jb4 or sergey tune, haven't decided yet.
Also looking at Heat sync performance tunes as well. They have a intake setup for the ñ63 I'm impressed with. of course I found it after I bought mine.

picked up the bumper today and oh my god it's freakin' AWESOME! so glad I decided to paint the lower grills JetBlack as well. the shop said to wait a few days and they'll do another buff to clean things up

alright people! here it is! bumper splitters didn't fit as I realized that the M5 F90 is wider than the F10. kinda sucks but I posted them for sale in the M5 F90 forum

I should've taken a picture before I put the carbon fiber lip but here's what it looks like. completely larger as it doesn't fit length wise



but here's the final product. I think it looks clean with just the carbon fiber splitter and if those bumper inserts worked I think it would've look too busy

BMW badges from JBSpeed came in! quality is pretty on point. pretty solid with a bit of weight to them. I was worried they were going to be some cheap plastic but this is very well made

just for reference here's what I had before. from shadowtrim kits here's their version just a carbon fiber sticker which is really well made as I've had it on for 4 years

alright fellows so while i'm still waiting for my CF double slat grills to come in next on the project to do list is working on my exhaust. specifically the tips. here's what I have currently. as you can see the tips sit way too under the diffuser and I was suppose to bring it back to the muffler shop to have them extend it out.


in this angle you can barely see them poking


so what i'm planning on doing is removing the EVC since I don't use it as I leave the flaps open all the time is to have the muffler shop cut off about 2" of the pipe where it meets the muffler. have them add an extension of the pipe to come out to where I can fit some new tips that sit anywhere from 1"-2.5" past the diffuser.



i'll be odering four of these CF tips off Ebay. the size will be 4" as I feel the 3.5" are quite small if you ask me.
