Ambient light strips?

Hi All

Just wondered has anyone used strips like these to enhance their ambient lighting in their F10?

This place - ambientmodz.com sells them which essentially clip and slide into place over the existing LED strip in the doors to make them more prominent and appear like a single line of light. Looks pretty effective and a cheap mod.

Thinking to give them a try.

Any thoughts?

Cheers

I'm also curious, would be great to have some photos of existing setups.. Did you manage to get a set?

I own an F10 and an E39. I haven't used any stripes for my F10 to enhance the interior light, as I never even thought about it. It always seems enough to me. One thing I heard from other owners is that basically what is happening is that the darker interiors are absorbing all of the light, and the lighter interiors are reflecting more of the light. But, if you still want to use LED stripes to enhance the lights, I can help you with that. I did it with my E39 as I wanted to add interior car lights as well.

Larger LED lights provide a uniform light and good illumination of the entire area of the diffuser, it solves the familiar problem of "light point". It`s also necessary to consider its purpose, i.e. where exactly will the LED lamp be installed and what it should illuminate. I installed https://www.vont.com/product/vont-ca...t-strip-light/ as a "navigator" light intended for reading in the cabin. They have enough light for reading, but at the same time, it isn`t excessive. If the LEDs are blinding your eyes, it's best to replace them. For this purpose, it`s better to choose white or naturally white glow color.
