Hey y'all,

Recently did a project on my F10 interior. Although I do like the dark wood trim (old school/classy) I wanted something more modern with a hint of luxury. So I opted for the Chopped Forged Carbon Fiber Black from Essmo.com (exact link will be below). Very good quality wrap, it really looks like the real deal.

This was actually my 2nd time wrapping the interior of this car. The first color I did was the body paint of my car (Carbon Black), but when I tested it out on my dash trim it looked more brown than anything, but I'm very happy with this color now. Goes very well with the black leather interior (Seats, Dash, steering wheel, etc.)

P.S. Yes I did do all the door trim as well

Did the 4-ish zone retrofit. The front flaps are being wonky and the used rear display turned out to be water damaged and thus screen did not function, but the hard part is over.

ish because I did not install the B pillar vents. This retrofit was a TON of work and I'm not really sure if I can really recommend this retrofit in terms of work-to-worth "efficiency". It took me close to 4 full days, and you need to be proficient at reading BMW's wiring diagrams (which, thankfully, are really easy to follow once you find the right ones - it's finding the right one that is hard). If you're going to tackle this, don't be like me and be doing this in 90+ degree weather - it was miserable. Definitely a spring/fall retrofit.

Those of us with 4-zone, that don't want the cellphone snap-in adapter, can change out the cellphone snap-in adapter with the Oddments Tray, P/N 51169206734, as shown below installed after the snap-in adapter was removed...., and those that don't have 4-zone can also opt to use the Oddments tray as well, or use the one that NikMN installed, which provides a LOT more room.

Finally got a remedy available notice so took it to our local for the VANOS recall.
They gave us a nice little 230i M Sport as a loaner!

Same here.....but also need to replace the rear diff mounts too.

Dealer told me about the mounts 2 years ago at 38K miles, and now with 48K miles, I should crawl under the car and address....before Winter.

Those things wear out fast! I need those and the guibo.

Me this morning:

So far no drama other than losing one of the little valvetronic motor screws, but I still have to put everything back together!

Actually kinda' sorta' yeah. The F10 is sooooo much easier to work on that an E90. Tons more room and kind of laid out better. Just pissed I dropped an actuator bolt and misplaced a grounding nut. Annoying that I have to run to LKQ and grab a couple tomorrow a.m.

It's mostly put back together now. I need to place all the wiring in the right place, and that's about it I hope. Cross-threaded one of the bolts, luckily the one in very front so I could re-start a bolt easily. All the bolts are torqued down now, that's where I quit. Fingers crossed it all falls into place tomorrow!

Et voilą, I have a working car! Ran out to the wrecker and found the bolt and nut I needed. Grabbed a backup of each as well. I would have been done last night if not for these:

Engine running fine (you'll have to trust me):

I found a missing engine cover bolt while looking for valvetronic one:

$2,600 worth of work done in the driveway:

LKQ in San Bernardino... but they have yards all over the place in SoCal. I have a love/hate relationship with them, as some things go for really cheap, and other are stupid-priced.

Pickings are actually pretty minimal right now, but enough N52 engine cars there for what I needed. They have a 530i that I might go back and pull the 3SIM from if I have nothing to do next weekend

I recently bought a ECS M5 style bumper for my 535d.
Had it painted and PPf'd and finally installed!
(front ambers deleted too)

I find it subtly more aggressive than my M sport bumper... plus the M sport bumper had alot of damage from the previous owner (his wife used to park by sound).

Today,i got to my stealerhip and ordered centra dashboard speaker, because mine stopped working. Tried to find used one, everybody wants 50 euros, but when i said ok, i'll take it, when they opened blend, speaker was not there. 🤣🤦🏻‍♂️ so i got to stealership and ordered new one for 60 euros. Guy told me, in 13 years, people were buying half of the car in parts, but no one was ever buying that speaker. 🤣 i am driving this car 10 months, and maybe a month ago i figured it is not working. 🤣
