It looks like you're seeing much colder temperatures, with JJ's high being 72 degrees and yours only being 21 degrees.
We're drizzly and under a tornado watch until mid-afternoon here, with highs in the upper 70's. I just had to turn the central AC on for the first time in days, mostly for the humidity. Debby should be past us by early Saturday morning, but there will still be lingering winds. Hopefully they can keep all of the tents staked down at this weekend's air show, and the rain doesn't turn the on-field grass parking into a Woodstock-like mud pit. I didn't hear Frecce Tricolori go in/out for their scheduled NYC flyover yesterday, and haven't heard them or the USAF Thunderbirds practicing all week. I'm thinking that today's practices will be rained out as well.....

Hurricane remnants are missing us. Looks like they're clipping the Toronto area and heading up north east. NY area looks pretty wet.
Beautiful weather today around 75F and sunny with a nice breeze to offset some of the humidity. |

We had a tornado warning for our county at around 3 PM. Lots of thunder and rain at the moment, but it looks like it will be moving out in another hour or so.....

Just got back from the ER on call-back. I will probably sleep most of the morning while we are getting drenched.

Heavy downpour at the moment. I hope it'll clear later since I rode my MTB to work.

Sunny and 72 at the beach today. Probably low 80s when I get home. Perfect shirtless weather!

Last night was another one with lows in the mid-50's F, windows open, AC off.
Then, around 11:30 PM, Pepé Le Pew strolled by outside the bedroom window. OCD psycho dog locked onto the faint smell and went full-out psycho barking at the window, which of course meant more than a faint smell as Pepé ran away. Windows closed and AC back on for the night after that. Our high today was in the low-80's, and there's a pop-up thunderstorm rumbling a few miles away right now. Unlike the folks to our south, we can really use the rain up here.....

Back on topic: weather has been normal for this time of year, upper 90s, but it's going to get hot (100s) again. I'm sure we'll get more hot days before fall arrives. Can't wait for fall; my favorite time of the year. |

Trust me. We live in the woods, and it's a skunk. They move around at night in the summer when the temperatures get cooler.....

I’m not doubting you, just mentioning the similarities in the smell, which are well known. BTW, we have (real) skunks around here too.

A gorgeous Friday. And today we are saying goodby to our summer students who are returning to university and to complete their last year of nursing and/or medical school. We had another good bunch this year except for one that was sent home after two weeks. We are having a catered lunch on our terrasse at noon.

Considering the role model mentor's misguided youth, I'm afraid to ask what it takes to be sent home from a summer clinical/internship?
Partly cloudy and mid-80's F here today, with chances of rain and highs in the upper 70's F over the weekend. Early next week's highs are only predicted to be in the low 70's F, which will be awesome if that forecast verifies out.....
