F10 2012 Headlight repair.

I am new to the forum. This is my first post. I have a question to ask. I replaced both LED Halo modules and the TMS control module. I told by the my local BMW repair shop, I would need to reprogram the headlights, since I replaced the TMS control module. I did and planned to go to the shop for a $125 reprogram. I needless to say, when I tested the install, everything worked and all my headlight malfunction alerts were clear. System OK.

Can someone explain what happened?

If all is well, no need for a reprogramming.

It's basically a technical detail from what I understand.
The coding is to put the cars VIN into the new module and run the tests.
