F10 LCI headlights
I've recently bought a 2016 F10 and I'm trying to check some details about it while I'm waiting for delivery. One feature I'm baffled about is headlamps. I've seen a few threads suggesting that all F10s with Adaptive Headlamps will also have High Beam Assist and the full "dancing beams" feature (Variable Light Distribution?). I've also read that features introduced with the F10 LCI included Xenon Adaptive Headlamps as standard. Brochures that I've found from the time indicate that Xenon Adaptive Headlights were an option though, and the VIN decode doesn't mention the headlights at all (other than the cleaning system).
Could it be that XAH were not in fact standard for the LCI in the UK market, and can anyone clarify what type of lights I can expect on my car? |

All F10 LCi in the UK had xenon headlights as standard but they were not Adaptive. Adaptive was an extra cost option and high-beam assist was included with this. I know this because I bought one and had to specify Adaptive / HBA as an option.

Not what I wanted to hear, but it's what I expected - thanks for confirming.
The only reason I got my hopes ever so slightly raised is the publication mentioned in this thread stating the LCI changes include all 5 series models having Xenon Adaptive Headlights as standard. It's a US summary though so perhaps it's market-specific. Pity. I'd probably have paid for the option if speccing a new vehicle but I doubt it's realistically retro-fittable. |

On the F10 the adaptive Lights are LEDs not Xenons. And it is written on the side of the headlamp with the lower button on the end of the left stalk to activate them. They are very amazing!
They were also about £1300 option if I remember correctly. |

Xenon Adaptive were also available. They are referred to as standard in the post I linked, but the UK brochure lists them as a £540 option alongside the £1,330 LED option.

Just had my first experience of night driving in this car. A few observations regarding lights:
