Crackling sound through usb?

I have a 2013 MY car with 600w Logic 7 sound system. I’ve been playing music through the usb port in the center console. I use an official apple usb cable. I constantly get somewhat quiet crackles and buzzing, especially with bass, even though I have bass settings in the middle of the eq. Could this be an issue with my cord, or worse; bad speakers?

Just played music through Bluetooth, and I’m not getting the crackles. Must be the cord then. Sucks because I bought the cord just for this purpose

When I was young I just thought a cord was a cord. I know different now. When I buy anything now I make sure to read reviews. If there are no reviews, then I go look somewhere else because it may mean the company declined to post the reviews.

Completely agree. The reason I bought this cable on Amazon was because it was sold by apple through Amazon. I had a thought after checking some generic online forums that maybe my phone is the problem, so I’m currently updating it and will test it out later. Additionally, some forum said the car’s usb port could be the problem, so I will use a different cable to check all the variables at play here.

Just tried it out with a different cord, same problem. Which means it’s either my phone or the connection port in the car that’s causing the problem. Thankfully it’s at least not the speakers since Bluetooth alleviates that problem however as we all know Bluetooth audio quality is not as good as usb.
